MasterCoach integrates the image format MPEG-2 into the PosiCap software

So far the biggest challenge within PosiCap was the handling of the huge amount of data related to the digital image quality DV.  DV-format offers best image quality, but demands highest capacity on the hard disc.

The new PosiCap 2.0 has solved this issue by offering an additional video format as a senseful alternative to DV-quality.

Sport Universal’s AMISCO Player Performance system was used in the context of the UEFA Champions League Final to monitor all players involved in this major European club final in Paris on 17th May.

The 51st final, the showpiece event in European club football, features former winners and reigning Spanish Champions Barcelona and Premiership side Arsenal, who have reached the final for the first time in their history.

The AMISCO system was used to capture and monitor by cameras and sensors, installed within the Stade de France stadium, the physical and tactical elements of each player on the pitch.
All the information obtained, recording over 3,500 ball touches in the game and 4.5 million positions taken up by the players, will result in various detailed reports being generated.  

These include the distance each player covers on the pitch, how many passes were successfully completed, the number of interceptions made, late runs made into the penalty area and many more other various elements of play during the 90 minutes.
